Overview

Create custom greeting cards and postcards with your own message and any photo from your Costco Photo Center account. There are many options available to make your card unique, including a variety of themes: holidays, birthdays, special announcements, thank you notes, and more. You can create a photo greeting card for any occasion, or just to send your friends and family a personalized gift to say hello.

Please note: you can return to your card at any time prior to placing your order. Locate the card you would like to revisit in your cart and click the 'edit' link to make changes or view your card again.

If you have a photo saved on your computer that you would like to turn into a greeting card, then you can easily upload the photo to your account. The instructions below will guide you through creating your photo greeting card.

Creating 5x7 Folded Greeting Cards

Follow the steps below to create folded cards.

Click the 'store' tab.
Click 'greeting cards' in the 'photo products' list on the left side of the page.
Click the box for '5x7 folded greeting cards' to get started.
Choose the album that contains the photo you would like to use to make your greeting card. You can choose a different album later if you decide you would like to use a different photo.
Select a style for your greeting card by clicking once on the preview. You can choose a vertical or horizontal orientation for your card by clicking the link.
Choose a photo from the thumbnails on the left. If you would like to select a photo from a different album, then click the 'change' link above the photo thumbnails.
When you have chosen a photo for the front of your card, click the 'continue' button.
Enter a message into the text fields provided. Click each field to open an editing window where you can type your message. There are a few different options for how the inside of your card can look. Click the 'layout' tab above your photo thumbnails. Click a layout to see what it would look like on your card. Some layouts feature a place for photos. When you are ready, click the 'continue' button.

Note: If you enter text or add a photo to a layout and then choose a different one, your changes might be lost.

Next, select a photo for the reverse of your card and enter a message if you would like. Click the 'continue' button when you are ready to proceed.
When you order a folded greeting card, you can enter a return address that will be printed on the envelopes for your card. Click the checkbox to include a return address. Type the information into the text fields provided. When you are ready to proceed, click the 'continue' button.
The most important step is to review your card and make sure there are no spelling errors in your messages or address and that your photo looks how you would like it to look. Click the checkbox to verify that you have reviewed your card.

TIP: If you would like to see a larger preview of your card, click the 'view card larger' link below your card preview.

Enter a quantity for the number of cards you would like to order.
Click the 'add to cart' button to continue.

Creating Photo Notecards

Follow the steps below to create a photo notecard.

Click the 'store' tab and click 'greeting cards' in the 'photo products' list on the left side of the page.
Click 'Photo Notecards' from the options available in the Greeting Cards box.
Select the style of notecard you would like to create.
Select the album that contains the photo you would like to use on your photo notecard.
Choose a photo from the thumbnails on the left for the front of your notecard.
Write a message inside your notecard.
Select a photo for the back of your notecard and enter a message if you would like.
The most important part of creating your notecard is reviewing your entries. Check to make sure your messages are displayed correctly and that you are happy with the photo you have selected. Click the checkbox to verify that you have reviewed your notecard.
Enter the number of notecards you would like to order in the quantity box.
Click the 'add to cart' button to proceed.

Note: a copy of your notecard will automatically save while you are working on it. To check your saved notecards, click the 'photos' or 'home' tab and click 'projects' in the orange menu on the right.

Creating 6x7½ Photo Greeting Cards

High quality photo cards are easy to create. Follow the steps below to make one for someone special! Note: Envelopes (6 x 8 ⅛) included – require only one postage stamp.

Click the 'store' tab.
In the 'photo products' list on the left side of the page, click '6x7½ photo greeting cards.'
Click the 'create greeting card' button.
Select the album that contains the photo you would like to include on your card by clicking it once.
Select one of the many card styles available by clicking the one you would like to use.

Note: Multi-photo cards require that each photo space on the card be filled with a photo in order to finish creating it. You can use the same photo to fill each photo space if you would like.

Choose a photo for your card from the photo thumbnails to the left of the card preview. You can select a photo by clicking it once, or by dragging and dropping it onto the photo area of your card preview.

Tip: You can access your photos in a different album by clicking the change link. When you have selected a photo, click the 'continue' button.

Next, write a message for your photo card in the spaces provided. Click the 'preview message' to see how it will look on your card. You can enter and preview your message until you get it just right. When you are ready to proceed, click the 'continue' button.
You've created your card! Be sure to review your card to verify that everything looks the way you would like. To make any changes to your card, click any of the links in the first section of the review panel. Your message will appear on the printed card exactly as you entered it, so read it over carefully.
When you have reviewed your card and made any changes, enter a quantity in the box provided in the second section of the preview panel. A set of 50 cards is $14.99. If you would like an additional set of 25 for $5.99 each, enter the total number of sets in the quantity box. When you're finished, click the checkbox to verify that you have reviewed your card and click the 'add to cart' button.

Cropping and Positioning an Image for your Card

It is important to use the zoom tool to zoom in or out in order to position your photo the way you would like, and to make sure that the areas of your photo that you would like to feature on the card are displayed.

To zoom in or out:

Click the 'zoom' tab in the 'edit panel.'
Click the bars between the magnifying glasses to zoom in or out of your image. You can also click the magnifying glasses to zoom in or out.
Your cursor will become a when you mouseover your photo. Click once on your photo and hold the mouse button down while moving the mouse around to reposition your photo.

You can reposition your photo if the details you'd like to include are not displayed. Click your photo once and hold the mouse button down while moving your mouse until you've framed the details you'd like displayed. Release the mouse button when your photo is positioned properly.

The original photo in your online photo album will not be altered if you crop or edit it using the editing panel while creating a card.
