Overview

The Costco Photo Center Address Book stores important contact information in one convenient location. If you have shared photos with friends or family, sent them prints, or any of our photo gifts, then their addresses will automatically be added to your Address Book.

You have complete control over your address book - add new contacts, delete current contacts, or create email groups to make sharing your photos even easier.

Add a Contact

Follow the steps below to add a new contact to your address book.

  1. To begin, click the 'account' link in the top right corner of the page.
  2. Click 'view & edit your address book' in the 'address book' section.
  3. Click the 'add new address' button.
  4. Enter your contact's details, including email address, first name, last name, and shipping address. Note: only the email address is required for making an entry in the address book.
  5. If you would like to add another contact, click the 'save and add another' button. To return to your Address Book without adding another contact, click the 'save address' button.

Edit Contact Information

Be sure to keep your Address Book up to date. Edit information such as email address, first name, last name, and shipping address for your contacts by following the steps below.

  1. To begin, click the 'account' link in the top right corner of the page.
  2. Click 'view & edit your address book' in the 'address book' section.
  3. Use the alphabetized tabs to navigate to the page that contains the contact you would like to edit.
  4. When you have located the contact you would like to edit, click the 'edit' link.
  5. An 'edit contact' popup will appear with your contact's information.

  6. Enter the new information into the fields provided.
  7. Click the 'update' button to save your changes or if you'd like to edit another contact then click the 'save & add another' button.

Note: Changes you make to the contacts in your Address Book also updates their information within any groups to which they belong. However, if you want to add or remove a contact from a group that they belong to, then edit the group information from your address book.

Delete a Contact

If you would like to remove a contact, then follow the steps below.

  1. To begin, click the 'account' link in the top right corner of the page.
  2. Click 'view & edit your address book' in the 'address book' section.
  3. Use the alphabetized tabs to navigate to the page that contains the contact you would like to delete.
  4. In order to protect against accidental deletions, a confirmation window will appear to check if you want to remove the contact.
  5. Click the 'delete' button to proceed, or 'cancel' if you do not want to delete the contact.

Please note: deleting a contact automatically removes them from groups to which they belong.

Import Outlook Address Book

If you have an Outlook Address Book on your computer, you can import the addresses from it in a few easy steps.

  1. To begin, click the 'account' link in the top right corner of the page.
  2. Click 'view & edit your address book' in the 'address book' section.
  3. Under the alphabetical display of your contacts there is a box with a link to import addresses from Outlook.

  4. Click the link to open a popup window introducing Outlook Address Import tool. Click the 'continue' button.
  5. To import your addresses from Outlook, we use a tool that requires an 'ActiveX Control'. A 'Security Warning' window will prompt you to verify that you would like to install the application to import your addresses from Outlook. Click 'yes' or 'Install' to continue.

  6. The Outlook Address Import tool will locate your Outlook Address Book for you.
  7. When the Outlook Address Import tool finds your address book, a window with a list of check boxes will appear. The fields listed represent the information that the Outlook Import tool will copy to your Costco Photo Center Online Address Book. Contacts' names and email addresses will automatically be imported. You can decide whether or not you would like to include mailing address and mobile phone information by clicking those checkboxes.

  8. Click 'continue' when you are ready to proceed.
  9. Next, choose which addresses you would like to import from the list provided. To remove any of the addresses, click the checkbox beside them. Only the addresses with a checkmark beside them will be imported.
  10. Once you have reviewed the addresses and are happy with your selection, click the 'add address' button.

Note: If you decide to include addresses that you didn't include the first time you ran the Outlook Import Address tool, or if you have new addresses in your Outlook address book, run the Outlook Import Address tool again to import the new addresses.

Create an Email Group

By creating an email group, you can easily share photos with the same family and friends every time. Sharing photos with a group is as easy as adding a group from your address book, rather than entering each email address separately.

Follow the steps below to create an email group.

  1. To begin, click the 'account' link in the top right corner of the page.
  2. Click 'view & edit your address book' in the 'address book' section.
  3. Click the 'add new group' button.
  4. A popup will appear that has empty text fields where you can enter a name for your group, as well as the email addresses for everyone you would like to include in the group.

  5. There are a few ways to enter the addresses into your new group. Enter each email address one by one, cut and paste email addresses if you have a list saved as an MS Word file or text file, or you can add addresses from your Costco Photo Center address book by clicking the 'address book' link. It is important to put a comma or line break between each address to keep them separate.
  6. When you are ready to proceed, click the 'save' button.

Tip: Any email addresses you enter for the first time while making a group, will automatically create an individual listing in your Costco Photo Center address book.

Edit an Email Group

If you would like to make changes to an email group, follow the steps below.

  1. To begin, click the 'account' link in the top right corner of the page.
  2. Click 'view & edit your address book' in the 'address book' section.
  3. Click the 'My Groups' tab in your address book, locate the group you would like to edit and click the 'edit' link.
  4. On the edit page, you can change the group name and add or remove members' email addresses.
  5. Removing a member is as easy as deleting something in a text editor. Click in the 'addresses' text box and 'Backspace' or 'Delete' the entry. If you remove an email from a group, the contact will not be deleted from your address book.
  6. Enter each email address one by one, cut and paste email addresses if you have a list saved as an MS Word file or text file, or you can add addresses from your Costco Photo Center address book by clicking the 'address book' link. It is important to put a comma or line break between each address to keep them separate.
  7. When you've finished making changes, click the 'save' button.

Delete an Email Group

If you would like to delete an email group, follow the steps below.

  1. To begin, click the 'account' link in the top right corner of the page.
  2. Click 'view & edit your address book' in the 'address book' section.
  3. Click the 'My Groups' tab in your address book, locate the group you would like to delete and click the 'delete' link.
  4. In order to protect against accidental deletions, a confirmation window will appear to check if you want to delete the group.
  5. Click the 'delete' group button to delete the group, or the 'cancel' button to return to the address book without deleting the group.

Note: If you delete a group, you do not delete the individual listings that it contained from your address book.
